Liebe Freundinnen und Freunde, liebe Interessentinnen
und Interessenten,
dieser Newsletter behandelt folgende Punkte:
1. WIR SIND KIRCHE TREFFEN in Regensburg

Zu 1. Mehrere Priesterinnen reisten letztes Wochenende nach
Regensburg, um dort an dem WIR SIND KIRCHE Treffen Deutschlands
teilzunehmen. Am Bahnhof von Regensburg trafen sie auf eine Ansammlung von
Karmeliterschwestern. "Denen nach", dachten sie, und schlossen sich dieser
Gruppe auf dem Weg durch die Stadt an. "Ob die wohl auch zum WIR SIND
KIRCHE Treffen gehen", überlegten sie. Es wäre doch zu schön, wenn auch
Ordensfrauen den Weg zu den kirchlichen Reformbewegungen finden würden.
Doch die Schwestern gingen nicht mit: Im Zentrum von Regensburg
verschwanden sie in der Karmeliterkirche. Die Priesterinnen gingen weiter
zu den AKTIVEN von WIR SIND KIRCHE und freuten sich, bekannte Gesichter
wiederzusehen.
Christian Weisner, der Leiter der deutschen Kirchenvolksbegehren-Bewegung
begrüßte die zahlreichen Personen, die nach Regensburg gekommen
waren - Er bedauerte etwas das Fehlen der WIR SIND KIRCHE BEWEGUNG
Österreichs "wo Regensburg doch so nahe an Österreich liegt".
Den Hauptvortrag hielt Frau Prof. Sabine Demel über SENSUS FIDELIUM. Ein
Vortrag, der sowohl inhaltlich als auch von der Präsentation hervorragend
gut war. Wir wollen Frau Prof. Demel nicht zu viel loben, denn sonst
könnte der Bischof von Regensburg auf sie aufmerksam werden, deshalb hier
nur: Unsere Hochachtung!

zu 2.: Wunderschöne Presseberichte sind in Frankreich, Amerika, Kanada und
Östereich über einzelne Frauen, die das Amt der Priesterin anstreben,
erschienen. Besonderer Dank geht an die französische Journalistin
Veronique Cherneau, die in der Zeitschrift "CA M'interesse", Octobre 2004,
über mehrere Seiten einen zauberhaften Bericht schrieb und ihn mit den
glänzenden Photos von Carina Landau ausstattete. Herzlichen Dank den
Beiden! Wunderschöne Berichte erschienen auch in CATHOLIC NEW TIMES in
Kanada und in KIRCHE-IN in Österreich. Danke an die Journalisten und
Journalistinnen, die mit so viel Freude unsere Bewegung begleiten.

1./2./3. Juli 2005 und den 25./26. Juli 2005 freihalten. Die Einladungen
zu diesen öffentlichen Weihen erfolgen im nächsten NEWSLETTER.
zu 4.: Die EXKOMMUNIKATION der 7 Frauen, die sich 2002 auf der Donau
weihen ließen, besteht nun seit fast 2 Jahren. Wir sind in dieser Zeit
nicht tatenlos herumgesessen, sondern haben uns ausführlich mit dieser
BEUGESTRAFE befaßt. So eruierten wir, dass eine EXKOMMUNIKATION nur gegen
Einzelpersonen ausgesprochen werden kann, nicht aber gegen eine Gruppe. Da
unsere Bewegung immer größer und stärker wird, kann man schon lange nicht
mehr von Einzelpersonen sprechen, die sich engagieren. Deshalb wollen wir
in den nächsten Wochen einen Antrag auf RÜCKNAHME der EXKOMMUNIKATION
durch den Vatikan stellen. Wir werden Sie im nächsten NEWSLETTER darüber
informieren.
5. Begleitend zum ANTRAG AUF RÜCKNAHME der EXKOMMUNIKATION werden wir auch
einen persönlichen Brief an den Papst schreiben. Auch hierzu mehr im
nächsten NEWSLETTER.

1. 'WE ARE CHURCH' Meeting in Regensburg:
A number of women priests travelled to Regensburg last weekend to take
part in a meeting of 'WE ARE CHURCH', Germany. At the train station in
Regensburg, there was a large gathering of Carmelite nuns, who all set
off together in the direction of the city centre. Walking behind them,
the priests wondered if the nuns could possibly also be going to the 'We
are Church' meeting. It would so wonderful if the Religious Orders
could also be part of the reform movements within the Church. However,
the nuns were not, in fact, making for the 'We are Church' meeting:
they all disappeared into the Carmelite Church and convent in the centre
of the old city of Regensburg. The women priests walked on to the
meeting and were happy to see many familiar faces. Christian Weisner,
the leader of the German 'We are Church' Movement, personally welcomed
each of the many people who had travelled to Regensburg from many parts
of Germany. He expressed regret that 'We are Church', Austria, was not
well represented, despite the fact that Ragensburg is so near to Austria.
The main speaker for the day was Professor Dr. Sabine Demel, who spoke
on SENSUS FIDELIUM. (Her talk will be published in German; we will
inform you.) Both the content and her Powerpoint presentation were
outstanding. We are a little cautious of praising Prof. Demel too
highly, in case what she said comes too much to the attention of the
Bishop of Regensburg, but we do wish to express our appreciation of her
ideas. You can find a few photos taken during the 'We are Church'

2. PRESS REPORTS IN VARIOUS COUNTRIES
Some really good, interesting press reports about women in our program
who are in various stages of moving towards priestly ordination, have
appeared in the press in France, Canada and Austria. Special thanks to
the French journalist Veronique Cherneau: in the journal "CA M'
interesse" of October 2004 she has written several pages of wonderful
text with particular focus on Genevieve Beney, and there are some
colourful, glossy photos taken by Carina Landau on the ship 'Sissi'
during the June ordinations this year. Heartfelt thanks to them both.
Excellent reports have also appeared in the CATHOLIC NEW TIMES in
Canada, following an interview with Michele Birch-Conery, and in the
journal 'KIRCHE IN' in Austria, in which the article is entitled: "And
the flood-gates opened". We thank the journalists who follow the growth
of our movement with so much interest and report on it with so much joy.
3. DATES TO KEEP FREE IN 2005
To all readers of our Newsletter who would like to attend our
ordinations in 2005, we would like to let you know that you need to keep
the following dates free: 2 July and also 25 July 2005. Details will
appear in our next Newsletter. (For both of these dates, you will
probably need to keep three days open, because you will most likely have
to travel.)
4. REQUEST FOR WITHDRAWAL OF EXCOMMUNICATION DECREE
The Excommunication of the seven women who were ordained in 2002 on the
Danube has now been in place for two years. During these time, we have
been doing research into excommunication, its meaning and its
implications. Among other things, we have discovered that the penalty
of excommunication may be imposed only on individuals, not on a group.
Since our movement continues to grow, and is becoming ever larger and
stronger, there can no longer be any question of only individuals being
involved. Therefore, in the course of the next few weeks, we wish to
request the Vatican to withdraw the Decree of Excommunication. Further
information about this in our next Newsletter.
5. LETTER TO THE POPE
Together with the request for the withdrawal of the decree of
excommunication, we will also write a personal letter to the Pope. More
about this also in our next Newsletter.

1-Rassemblement à Regensburg de « Nous sommes l'Eglise »
Plusieurs femmes prêtres se sont rendues à Regensburg le week-end dernier pour participer à un rassemblement de « Nous sommes l'Eglise » (d'Allemagne ). A la gare de Regensburg, se trouvait une foule de Carmélites qui se dirigérent toutes ensemble vers le centre ville. Marchant derrière elles , les prêtres se demandaient s'il était possible que ces religieuses se dirigent aussi vers le rassemblement de « Nous sommes l'Eglise » . Cela serait si merveilleux que les ordres religieux participent aux mouvements de réforme dans l'Eglise.Toutefois, en réalité les religieuses ne se dirigeaient pas vers le rassemblement de « Nous sommes l'Eglise » Elles disparurent toutes dans l'église et le couvent des Carmélites au centre de la vieille ville de Regensburg.
Les femmes prêtres continuèrent leur chemin vers le rassemblement et se réjouirent à la vue de nombreux visages connus.Christain Weisner qui dirige la branche Allemande du mouvement accueillit personnellement chacune des nombreuses personnes qui avaient fait le voyage de toutes parts en Allemagne . Il déplora la faible représentation de l'Autriche en dépit de la proximité de Regensburg avec ce pays .Le principal intervenant du jour était Dr. Sabine Demel qui a parlé de « sensus fidelium »(nous vous informerons de la publication en Allemand de son intervention)Sa présentation en Powerpoint et le contenu de son intervention étaient remarquables . Nous sommes prudentes dans nos louanges pour ne pas trop attirer l'attention de l'évêque de Regensburg sur les propos de Dr. Sabine Demel, mais nous tenons à exprimer combien nous apprécions ses idées .

2-Articles de presse dans différents pays
Quelques bons articles intéressants sur les femmes de notre cycle qui sont à diverses étapes conduisant à l'ordination sont apparus en France, au Canada et en Autriche .
Nous remercions particulièrement la journaliste française Véronique Cherneau : Dans le magazine « Ca m'intéresse» d'octobre 2004 elle a écrit un très beau texte de plusieurs pages avec un accent particulier sur Geneviève Beney et quelques belles photos de Carina Landau sur le Sissi au cours des ordinations de Juin cette année.
Nous les remercions toutes deux de tout c?ur.
D'excellents articles sont parus également dans le « Catholic New Times » au Canada suite à une interview de Michele Birch-Conery , et dans le journal Autrichien « Kirche in » où l'article s'intitule : « Et les vannes s'ouvrirent ».
Nous remercions les journalistes qui suivent la croissance de notre mouvement avec tant d'intérêt et qui en parlent avec joie.
3- Dates à retenir pour 2005
A tous nos lect/rices/eurs qui aimeraient assister à nos ordinations en 2005, nous aimerions vous faire savoir qu'il vous faut retenir ces dates : 2 Juillet et 25 Juillet 2005 .Nous donnerons les détails dans notre prochaine lettre ( Pour ces deux dates, prévoyez trois jours car il y aura le voyage ).
4-Demande d'abrogation du décret d'excommunication
Cela fait maintenant deux ans qu' a été prononcée l'excommunication des sept femmes ordonnées sur le Danube en 2002.Pendant ce temps, nous avons fait des recherches sur l' excommunication, son sens et ses conséquences. Entre autres choses nous avons découvert que la peine d'excommunication ne s'applique qu' à un individu , pas à un groupe.Comme notre mouvement se développe , devient de plus en plus important et fort , il ne peut plus être question que seuls des individus soient concernés . En conséquence d'ici quelques semaines , nous souhaitons demander au Vatican de retirer le décret d'excommunication.Plus ample information dans notre prochaine lettre.
5- Lettre au Pape
Avec la demande d'abrogation de l'excommunication , nous allons aussi écrire une letre personnelle au Pape (suite dans notre prochaine lettre )
